How Your Donation Helps

Early childhood education lays the foundation for lifelong learning and development. It fosters critical cognitive, social, and emotional skills during the most formative years of a child’s life, preparing them for future academic success. High-quality early education encourages creativity, problem-solving, and social interaction, helping children build confidence and resilience. Investing in early education benefits not only individual children but also strengthens families and communities, creating a brighter future for all.

The Family Development Center not only supports children, but students as well. The FDC is dedicated to supporting UCCS students by providing hands-on learning opportunities through internships and practicums and offering affordable, high-quality childcare for student parents. With scholarships covering 25%-70% of childcare tuition based on Pell eligibility, the FDC helps alleviate financial stress so students can focus on their education and family.
